Prior to the big P (pandemic), for inexplicable reasons, we traded modernist design for some truncated version. The words, "modern" and "sleek" gave way to almost clinical settings. Designs appeared devoid of color, texture and soul. What happened to pleasurable design? What about times to come? What is in store for the future?

We're forecasting what's hot for 2022. This year, style means color, comfort, and how our lives shape the world around us- and vice versa. We’re throwing our sheets to the wind and daresay that color, eclecticism, and adventure are in, and in to stay. As we spend more time in this new world, it feels imperative to show our friends, family’s and followers a glimpse into our humble (or not so humble) abodes.

Flip through the pages of your favorite design magazine to see that creature comforts are trending, the weirder and the more ostentatious, the better. We’re loving adventurous new designers pairing out-there fabrics and accessories with tried and true silhouettes. It feels fresh and necessary. 3. Kathryn M. Ireland master's French-meets-California decor flexing her ability to rewrite the little white cottage. Ireland's designs combine worldly artifacts, reminding us of where we wish to travel, and of where we've been.
