After settling on a 227-acre plot in wine country, the couple spent over a year enjoying the expansive pasture before breaking ground.

O’Neal, of New York’s AvroKO design-and-concept firm, spoke to Architectural Digest on her vision for the property: “I think we often want to return to places where we grew up, even it it’s just the feel of a region matching a romanticized memory”. O’Neal who is originally from Northern California, lives and works in New York operating her plentiful businesses. AvroKO employs over 200 individuals in their New York, Bangkok, San Francisco and London offices.
