The images of this Sonoma County retreat will blow you away. Viewing the love-child of Kristina O’Neal and husband, Adam Gordon’s Knights Valley home is like taking in oxygen from high atop the Swiss Alps. Fresh, clean and pure. After settling on a 227-acre plot in wine country, the couple spent over a year enjoying the expansive pasture before breaking ground.

O’Neal, of New York’s AvroKO design-and-concept firm, spoke to Architectural Digest on her vision for the property: “I think we often want to return to places where we grew up, even it it’s just the feel of a region matching a romanticized memory”. O’Neal who is originally from Northern California, lives and works in New York operating her plentiful businesses. AvroKO employs over 200 individuals in their New York, Bangkok, San Francisco and London offices.

Adam Gordon, O'Neal's real estate developer husband is a through and through New Yorker. In speaking with AD, his excitement seems to bubble over for the couples "plan to plot a series of virtual agricultural projects in support of the local food community”.

Between raising cattle, sourcing medicinal plants for a limited edition line of self care products, and tending to their donkeys (Sugi and Jinx), this breezy couple find inspiration from far and wide. Keep scrolling for your own personal hit of breezy Sonoma winds, rolling fields, and hangar-like architecture.
